Job summary

Stantec seeks a Process Piping Designer to join our northeast team. The role focuses on generating P&IDs, 3D models, isometrics, and equipment arrangements across industries including biopharma and food & beverage.

Travel to Albany, Philadelphia, or Burlington/Boston may be required. Applicants should have 5+ years in piping design, proficiency with Revit and AutoCAD (Plant 3D), and ability to coordinate across disciplines effectively.

Qualifications

• Post-secondary education from a recognized technical college as an Engineering Technologist or equivalent experience required.
• Minimum five years of experience in design of piping systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop process piping designs in a 3D CAD environment.
• Coordinate with other trades to deliver an overall building design.
• Create and modify P&IDs and 3D models of equipment and piping.
• Produce 2D/3D piping plans and 3D component families.
• Perform clash detection and coordination with mechanical, electrical, and structural teams.
• Input data into database systems to develop smart P&IDs.
• Develop 3D renderings and client presentation visuals.
• Prepare floor plans, general arrangements, and isometrics.
