Job summary

Quality Tank Solutions, LLC is seeking a full-time Mechanical Designer to produce 2D and 3D manufacturing designs for custom equipment and projects in Wisconsin. You will ensure we have the materials, equipment, and information needed to complete each job and meet customer goals.

The role emphasizes stainless steel tank design, drafting main and detailed drawings, and collaborating with a supportive team to deliver accurate, high-quality designs and documentation.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of stainless steel tank design experience.
• 1-3 years of recent experience using AutoCAD and Inventor.
• Strong design skills and knowledge.
• Proficient in MS Office: Outlook, Word, Excel.
• Ability to follow directions and work independently.
• Team player.

• Create detailed drawings from main assembly drawings
• Create flat layouts for waterjet cutting
• Create and revise main and detailed drawings
• Create and revise technical routing and information sheets
• Create and revise bills of materials

Job description

We are currently seeking a full-time Mechanical Designer to produce 2D & 3D manufacturing designs for custom equipment and projects. In this role, you will ensure we have the materials, equipment, and information necessary to complete the job. This position is ultimately responsible for understanding and accomplishing the customer’s goals while protecting and promoting the interests of QTS.

Duties And Responsibilities

• Create main assembly drawings
• Create detailed drawings from main assembly drawings
• Create flat layouts for waterjet cutting
• Create and revise main and detailed drawings
• Create and revise technical routing and information sheets
• Create and revise bills of materials

Requirements And Qualifications

• 1-3 years of experience in stainless steel tank design
• 1-3 years of RECENT experience using AutoCAD & Inventor or other similar modeling software.
• Excellent skills/knowledge with Design
• Good MS Office skills: Outlook, Word, Excel
• Good work Ethic
• Ability to take directions from others as well as working independently
• A team player

Education Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Associate’s degree or Technical School in Mechanical Design / Drafting (beneficial but not required)
