Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Robotics, Mechanical Engineering, Applied Mathematics, or a closely related quantitative field.
• Strong proficiency in C++, Python, or Rust, with a track record of production code.
• Deep understanding of 3D data structures (meshes, point clouds, surfaces) and spatial queries.
• Experience with CAD/CAM kernels or CAD/CAM platforms is a plus.
• Ability to collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams and communicate complex spatial concepts.

Responsibilities

• 3D Geometry Processing: design, build, and maintain production-grade pipelines for 3D representations (B-Reps, NURBS, meshes, point clouds).
• Spatial & numerical algorithms: implement robust spatial partitioning, ray-mesh intersections, collision detection, and surface fitting.
• Manufacturing & toolpath generation: convert geometry into CNC toolpaths and simulations.
• System architecture & AI integration: develop high-performance libraries in C++/Python/Rust with testing and optimization.
• Cross-disciplinary collaboration: partner with mechanical, manufacturing, and controls engineers to connect software to hardware.
