Job summary

Vinci4d, located in Palo Alto, is seeking a candidate to join their data generation team. In this role, you will design and build systems for creating synthetic geometries and simulation configurations used in training physics models. This position requires strong software engineering skills and hands-on experience with programmatic geometry.

You'll generate physically plausible simulation scenarios and work along with engineers and researchers in a fast-growing startup environment. If you have experience in Python and an understanding of geometric processing, we encourage you to apply!

Qualifications

• Experience with scripted CAD, B-rep and mesh representations.
• Solid understanding of meshing, boolean operations, voxelization.
• Ability to assess the physical validity of boundary conditions.

Responsibilities

• Design and build procedural generators for hardware-like geometry.
• Generate simulation configurations respecting engineering constraints.
• Measure diversity and coverage of generated distributions.

Skills

Software engineering skills, especially in Python

Hands-on experience with programmatic/parametric geometry

Solid geometry processing fundamentals

Comfort reasoning about physical validity
