Simon & Schuster US is seeking a 1st Shift Warehouse Supervisor - Shipping in Riverside, NJ. The role leads 5–10 dock staff, ensures accurate palletizing, manifesting and shipping, and monitors daily quotas and safety protocols. Weekend OT may be required to meet projections.

The position requires a college degree or equivalent experience, supervisory background, and proficiency with MS Office. Forklift and pallet jack certifications are preferred, with strong communication abilities essential.

Qualifications

College degree or commensurate work experience.
Supervisory experience in a distribution warehouse.
Experience meeting daily quotas/standards.
Strong communication skills (written and verbal).
Ability to work under pressure and adhere to safety standards.

Responsibilities

Supervise 5–10 employees on a shipping dock handling palletizing, packing, and paperwork.
Monitor continuous distribution flow to domestic and international customers.
Prepare and ship orders according to wave schedule and projections.
Support all department tasks to meet daily projections.
Oversee dock scanning and full-case duties on weekends as needed.
Maintain safety and policy adherence at all times.
