Job summary

Simon & Schuster US is seeking a 2nd Shift Forklift Operator for our Riverside, NJ Distribution Center. The role involves loading trailers with full pallets, staging pallets on the shipping dock and palletizing cartons to customer specifications.

Requirements include a HS Diploma and the ability to operate pacer or sit-down forklifts, plus strong teamwork and safety adherence. Schedule: Monday–Friday, 1:00 PM–9:00 PM. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) and more.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or equivalent required.
• Ability to operate a pacer or sit-down counter-balanced forklift.
• Able to load pallets onto trailers and stage pallets on dock.
• Strong teamwork and communication with supervisor and coworkers.
• Capable of lifting and moving cartons up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Load trailers with full pallets.
• Stage and move pallets on the shipping dock.
• Palettize cartons according to customer specifications.
• Stage pallets with pallet jack.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
