Job summary

Garland Independent School District is seeking a budget/financial analyst with at least 3 years of experience in budget development, financial analysis, and grant administration.

The role requires strong Excel and Google Suite skills, familiarity with federal, state, and local grant funding requirements, and the ability to interpret complex financial guidelines. Training and professional development are provided.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business, finance, or related field is required.
• Minimum of three (3) years of progressively responsible experience in budget development or financial analysis.
• Experience with Oracle or similar ERP, advanced Excel and Google Suite skills.

Qualifications

Education/Certification

• Bachelor's Degree, preferably in Business, Finance, or a related field

Experience

• Minimum of three (3) years of progressively responsible experience in budget development, financial analysis, or grant administration
• Experience with Oracle (or comparable enterprise financial system), grant budget development, advanced financial analysis skills, and advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Google Suite (G-Suite), preferred

Special Knowledge/Skills

• Knowledge of federal, state, and local grant funding requirements and the grant lifecycle
• Ability to interpret and apply complex financial guidelines
• Strong problem-solving skills in financial and budgetary contexts
• Advanced skills in analyzing financial activities, budget analysis, and preparation
