Job summary

Murray-Calloway County Hospital is seeking a Director who will oversee Labor/Delivery, Nursery and Post Partum units, ensuring high-quality patient care and efficient operations. The role reports to Nursing Administration and requires strong leadership across maternal health areas.

Ideal candidates will have a Nursing degree with BSN preferred, and at least two years in Labor/Delivery/Nursery with charge RN experience considered advantageous.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• BSN preferred.
• Minimum of two years in Labor/Delivery/Nursery and Post Partum.
• Previous charge RN experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• 24-hour responsibility and accountability for the management of Labor/Delivery, Nursery and Post Partum units.
• Plan, direct and coordinate ongoing services across departments to uphold the mission, vision, quality standards and values, and to contribute to financial viability through effective resource management.

Job description

The Director has 24-hour responsibility and accountability for the management of the Labor /Delivery, Nursery and Post Partum units. The director is responsible to uphold the mission, vision, quality statement, and values of the organization and to serve as an example to all employees. The Director integrates the primary functions of the organization into the departments while planning, directing, and coordinating ongoing services of these departments, and is responsible for the quality and quantity of service and for contributing to the organization's financial viability through effective resource management.

Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.

Bachelor’s degree in nursing (BSN) preferred.

Must have at least two years Labor/Delivery/Nursery and Post Partum experience. Previous charge RN experience is strongly preferred.
