Job summary

Beth Israel Lahey Health is seeking an RN for the operating room in Massachusetts. The position offers a 36-hour week with a 6:50am–7:20pm FLEX schedule and on-call coverage for weekends and holidays. A current MA RN license, OR experience, and BLS are required.

Candidates should have hands-on experience with aseptic techniques and the ability to operate diverse surgical equipment, including Endoscopic and Laser systems. CNOR certification and BSN are desirable qualifications.

Qualifications

• Current Massachusetts RN license.
• Current OR experience.
• Demonstrated working knowledge of aseptic techniques.
• Knowledge of operating complex surgical equipment (Endoscopic, Laser, ENT, Ortho, Plastic, Podiatry, Neuro, General, Thoracic, Urology, Vascular).
• BLS required.

Responsibilities

• Operate complex surgical equipment during procedures as needed.
• Provide patient care in the OR and assist surgical teams.
• Be prepared for on-call coverage on weekends/holidays.
• Staff may be floated to areas where needed.

Job Description:

36 hpw OR RN position available. Schedule includes Monday-Saturday, 6:50a-7:20p FLEX with Call. Saturday, Sunday, and Holiday on-call schedule includes 24-hr coverage.

Minimum Requirements:

• Current Massachusetts RN license.
• Current O.R. experience
• Demonstrated working knowledge of all principles of aseptic techniques
• Demonstrated working knowledge of technical skills to operate complex surgical equipment during surgical procedures: i.e. Endoscopic, Laser, ENT, Ortho, Plastic, Podiatry, Neuro, General, Thoracic, Urology, and Vascular.
• BLS required.

Recommended Requirements:

• Proven leadership experience
• Charge Nurse experience; ability to function in crisis situation.
• CNOR Certification.
• BSN preferred

As with all job assignments, staff may be floated to areas where they are needed.

Pay Range:

• $37.14 - $82.22

This position is covered by a collective bargaining agreement. The pay range listed for this position is the base hourly wage range the organization reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for this position at this time. The pay range for this position is established and governed by the terms of the applicable collective bargaining agreement. Employees hired into this position will receive compensation consistent with the terms of the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
