The Arc of Somerset County in Hillsborough, NJ is seeking a 35-hr Direct Support Professional for the Day Hab Program. The role is full-time, Monday to Friday, 9 am – 4 pm, at group home residences within Somerset County. Pay is $18.91/hr and a HS diploma or GED is required.

Valid driver’s license is required, and one year of experience with I/DD is preferred. Duties include assisting with daily living, nutrition planning, ISP development, medication administration, and community integration.

• Assist consumers, as needed, in skill development, activities of daily living, personal care, domestic living, recreation and socialization.
• Ensure assigned clients’ nutritional needs; assisting with feeding as necessary.
• Assist consumers in nutritional planning, grocery shopping and preparation of all meals.
• Collaborate on the development/implementation of consumers’ Individual Service plans (ISP).
• Train and support consumers in all areas of their ISP.
• Assist with medication administration.
• Train and support consumers in the community including: social, recreational, cultural, religion and education networks.
