Job summary

Collins Aerospace, an RTX company, is seeking a Test Technician to ensure reliability of aerospace systems. The role involves fault isolation for test failures and verification of repairs with engineers to identify data trends and improvements.

This 3rd shift, onsite position requires reading complex schematics, using DMM, oscilloscope, spectrum analyzer, and other test equipment. You will collect, document, and report test results and work with teams to support both military and commercial

Qualifications

  • Requires HS Diploma or GED; if not, 2 years relevant experience.
  • Must pass CETa exam from ETA-I.
  • Must be willing to work 3rd shift with 4+ weeks of 1st shift training.
  • Ability to read complex electronic schematics and follow instructions.

What You Will Do
  • Perform testing using DMM, oscilloscope, frequency generators, high frequency power supplies, spectrum analyzer, etc.
  • Collect, document, and report on tests performed.
  • Evaluate test results.
  • Ability to read complex electronic schematics, analyze circuits and follow written work instructions.
  • Employ a comprehensive knowledge of electronic theory.
  • Basic troubleshooting and problem solving.
  • Capability of working independently as well as in a group setting.
  • Must be able to lift/carry equipment or parts up to 25 lbs.
  • This is a 3rd shift role. Must be willing and able to work 3rd shift.
  • New Hire Training is typically on 1st shift. Must be able train on 1st shift for 4+ weeks.
  • This is a 100% onsite role.
Qualifications You Must Have
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.
  • Requires HS Diploma. In the absence of a HS diploma or GED, 2 years of relevant experience is required.
  • Must pass the Certified Electronics Technician Associate (CETa) exam from Electronics Technicians Association – International (ETA-I).
  • Must be willing and able to work 3rd shift, with training on 1st shift for 4+ weeks
  • Must have ability to read complex electronic schematics, analyze circuits and follow written work instructions.
