Job summary

Northern Nevada HOPES is seeking a 340B Analyst to perform routine compliance monitoring, auditing, data validation, and documentation for the 340B Drug Pricing Program. The role reports to the 340B Pharmacy Compliance Manager and focuses on identifying risks and maintaining audit-ready records to ensure ongoing program effectiveness.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years as a pharmacy technician, Nevada license, and a 340B certificate or plan to complete within six months.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years of pharmacy technician experience required.
  • Active Pharmacy Technician license in good standing in Nevada required.
  • 340B University On demand Certificate required or must be completed within six months of hire.
  • Experience supporting 340B operations, pharmacy compliance, healthcare auditing, or related field.
  • Working knowledge of 340B program requirements, patient eligibility standards, and contract pharmacy operations.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor 340B dispensing activity across inhouse, contract, and referral workflows.
  • Validate patient eligibility, provider relationships, and policies.
  • Audit patient eligibility, provider eligibility, Medicaid carvein/carveout status, and contract records.

JOB SUMMARY: The 340B Analyst performs routine compliance monitoring, auditing, data validation, and documentation activities for the 340B Drug Pricing Program under the direction of the 340B Pharmacy Compliance Manager. This position identifies operational risks, supports, corrective actions, and maintains audit-ready records to ensure ongoing program compliance and effectiveness.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  • Perform routine monitoring of 340Beligible dispensing activity across inhouse pharmacy, contract pharmacy, and referral capture workflows.
  • Validate prescription eligibility, patient definition requirements, and provider relationships in accordance with established 340B policies and procedures.
  • Conduct scheduled and ad hoc audits of patient eligibility, provider eligibility, Medicaid carvein/carveout status, referral capture activity, and contract pharmacy dispensing records.
  • Document audit findings using standardized tools and maintain accurate tracking of identified risks and corrective actions.
  • Identify potential diversion, duplicate discount, and data integrity issues and elevate findings appropriately.
  • Investigate operational variances and support root cause analysis activities to determine contributing factors.
  • Implement assigned corrective actions and retest processes to verify effectiveness and resolution.
  • Maintain complete, accurate, and auditready documentation in accordance with organizational retention requirements.
  • Collaborate with pharmacy operations, finance, information technology, and clinical teams to resolve compliancerelated operational issues.
  • Respond to routine requests for 340B program data and operational information.
  • Assist in developing and delivering onboarding, refresher, and compliancerelated education for staff.
  • Reinforce adherence to established 340B policies, procedures, and workflow standards.
  • Monitor assigned compliance reports and data sources to identify trends requiring followup or intervention.
  • Support internal and external audit preparation activities through timely collection and organization of required documentation.
  • Communicate findings, updates, and recommendations to leadership in a clear, timely, and professional manner.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Minimum of 5 years of pharmacy technician experience required.
  • Active Pharmacy Technician license in good standing in the state of Nevada required.
  • 340B University On demand Certificate required or must be completed within six (6) months of hire.
  • Experience supporting 340B operations, pharmacy compliance activities, healthcare auditing, or a closely related field required.
  • Working knowledge of 340B program requirements, patient eligibility standards, and contract pharmacy operations required.
  • Demonstrated proficiency using Microsoft Excel and other data analysis or reporting tools required.
  • Strong written communication, organizational, and documentation skills required.
  • Certification as a Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) in good standing preferred.
  • Associate or Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, business, pharmacy, public health, or a related field preferred. Equivalent experience may be substituted.
  • 3 or more years of experience supporting 340B compliance, auditing, or regulatory programs preferred.
  • Experience with 340B thirdparty administrator platforms, pharmacy dispensing systems, and electronic health records preferred.
  • Experience preparing documentation for internal and external audits preferred.
