The Controller is responsible for overseeing the day‑to‑day financial operations of Northern Nevada HOPES and its subsidiaries NNH QALICB and NNH Support, and for ensuring the timeliness and accuracy of the financial records and reports. This role is supervisory and leads a team of accountants.
You will have a high level of integrity and attention to detail and accuracy. You will be competent in collaboration with all levels of staff members, be able be a communication expert and influential. Finally, you will be able to effectively guide and develop staff.

Proven ability to oversee general ledger, month‑end close, budgeting, audit coordination, and financial reporting in a complex, multi‑fund environment.
Experience with fund accounting, restricted funding, grants management, and compliance requirements common to federally qualified health centers or similar mission‑driven organizations.
Ability to partner with executive leadership, program leaders, and external stakeholders to translate financial data into clear, actionable insights that support decision‑making.
Track record of improving internal controls, financial systems, and workflows to increase accuracy, transparency, and efficiency across the organization.
Experience mentoring and developing accounting staff, fostering accountability, continuous learning, and alignment with organizational values.
