GFL Environmental Inc. is seeking a 310T Apprentice Mechanic in Ayr, Ontario, on a dayshift with an optional 10-hour weekend rotation. You will perform repairs, routine maintenance, and diagnostics on heavy vehicles and equipment while upholding safety standards.

The role offers a permanent full-time position with overtime potential, a comprehensive benefits program, and tools and uniforms provided. Own tools are required, and welding experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Licensing: 310T Truck and Coach License (or 310T level 2 or higher apprentice).
• G drivers license and reliable transportation to work.
• Own tools are required.
• Experience with welding is a plus.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Applicants with 3+ years’ experience will be prioritized.

Responsabilités

• Maintenance and repair of vehicles and equipment.
• Perform inspections, diagnosis and repair of electrical, hydraulic, suspension, brake and air systems.
• Use vehicle computer systems to interpret failure modes and guide repairs.
• Estimate time and material costs for repairs and respond to emergencies.
• Maintain safety checks and a clean, compliant work area.
• Document repairs and parts usage in the fleet system.
