Job summary

Honeywell Technologies in Arvada, CO seeks a Machine Shop Supervisor to lead machinists, operators, planners, programmers and support staff. You will drive safety, productivity, quality, and on-time delivery while coordinating across departments.

This on-site, multi-shift role reports to the Director of Engineering and emphasizes lean manufacturing, continuous improvement, and cost control.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of manufacturing experience with hands-on machining knowledge.
• 3+ years leading, coaching, or supervising teams in production/manufacturing or machine shop environments.
• Knowledge of machining operations, tooling, production planning, workflow optimization, maintenance coordination, and resource planning.
• Strong communication, collaboration, planning, and conflict-resolution skills across functions.
• Commitment to safety, quality, standard work, continuous improvement, and adapting to new technologies.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop machinists, operators, planners, programmers, and staff while fostering safety and operational excellence.
• Manage machine shop operations across 3 shifts in a 24-hour operation, including staffing and resource allocation.
• Develop, update, and execute production schedules; monitor progress; resolve issues; report results.
• Drive on-time delivery, productivity, OEE improvements, and inventory management for make-to-stock and make-to-order.
• Collaborate with EH&S to maintain safety culture and compliance; maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Implement and maintain quality control processes, ISO-aligned standards, inspection practices, and corrective actions.
• Monitor workflow and equipment performance; adjust processes as needed; oversee maintenance and TPM activities.
• Monitor expenses and budget performance; identify cost-saving opportunities; support financial planning.
• Recruit, train, coach, and develop staff; address personnel issues and support growth.
• Lead continuous improvement through lean manufacturing, data collection, problem solving, and cross-functional collaboration.
