Job summary

Hirsh Precision is seeking an experienced CNC machinist to operate 4- and 5-axis mills within a flexible FMC environment. You will read blueprints, set up production runs, and optimize throughput while upholding strict quality standards.

The role requires proven 4- and 5-axis milling and precision inspection experience, with the ability to interpret drawings and analyze CMM data. A collaborative, safety-first mindset is essential.

Qualifications

• 4- and 5-axis milling experience in a modern FMC environment.
• Proven quality inspection experience with attention to detail.
• History of setting up machines for production runs.
• Understanding of CNC production and inspection workflows.

Responsibilities

• Run 4- and 5-axis milling operations in an FMC environment.
• Read blueprints and follow on-screen instructions in our proprietary platform.
• Complete machine setups for production runs and optimize for throughput.
• Apply company safety policies and maintain a clean, organized work area.
• Interpret engineering drawings to establish inspection criteria.
• Measure parts with micrometers, calipers, and gauges; review CMM data.
• Document and communicate clearly using Office 365.
