Louisa Food Products, Inc. seeks a Forklift Operator/Material Handler for the 2nd shift (3:00pm–12:00am, Mon–Fri) in our warehouse. Responsibilities include receiving, storage, handling and shipping of ingredients and products across dry, cooler, and freezer areas.

The role offers a starting wage of $22.00/hour with potential to $23.50/hour in 1 year plus semi-annual bonuses; other bonus programs apply.

Qualifications

• One year of stand-up forklift experience.

2nd shift Stand-Up Forklift Operator Louisa Food Products, Inc. is searching for one (1) Forklift Operator / Material Handler to work in our Warehouse for its second shift from 3:00pm to 12:00am Monday through Friday. The individual in this position will perform a variety of duties associated with food processing assembling and packaging operations. This is a very fast paced position and it is working in a cold freezer storage area. Starting salary $22.00 per hour with the ability to move to $23.50 per hour in 1 year plus semi-annual bonuses. All Material Handlers will also be eligible for semi-annual bonuses after 1 year, as well as other bonus programs.

Key Responsibilities Duties include, but will not be limited to: Receiving, storage, handling, and shipping a variety of products and ingredients. Supply Production Department with required materials/ingredients. Must maintain neat/clean storage areas where assigned. Job location may shift from dry goods storage to cooler to freezer storage. Must be prepared to be assigned and work in all areas of shipping/receiving/warehousing. It's very important to complete paperwork correctly in this position. Must be able to write and communicate in English. Some overtime may be required on short notice. It is very important for this position to be aware of teamwork.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS / WORK ENVIRONMENT

• Must be able to stand for prolonged periods of time.
• Must be able to work with forklift, electric pallet \"jacks\", deep reach trucks, and hand \"jacks\".
• Physical functional test required. Lifting sometimes up to 80 lbs. maximum.
• Safety awareness is essential.
• Constant exposure to variable temperatures including very hot and very cold temperatures.
• Floors are wet and slippery, proper footwear must be worn.
• The plant is very noisy, company provided safety hearing plugs must be worn at all times.
