Job summary

Control Tech is seeking a 2nd Year Electrical Apprentice to join our field technician team in Midland, TX. You will learn from Journeyman Electricians, test, calibrate, install, repair, and inspect manufacturing equipment and monitoring devices.

Requires 1st year apprenticeship completed, safety certifications, and background/drug checks; oil and gas experience is a plus. This is a full-time on-site role with on-call duties as needed.

Qualifications

• First Year Electrical Apprentice Experience/Schooling completed.
• Standard First Aid/CPR with AED; H2S Alive, CSO, CSTS.
• Experience in oil and gas industry is an asset.
• Successful completion of a pre-employment drug and alcohol test (required for safety-sensitive roles).
• Completion of a criminal background check, with results assessed based on relevance to the position.
• Verification of a clean driving record, as defined by Control Tech's standards (e.g., no major violations, no more than 3 infractions in the past 5 years).

Responsibilities

• Reads and interprets electrical, mechanical, and architectural drawings and electrical code specifications.
• Pulls wire through conduits, holes, and splice, join, and connect wire to form circuits.
• Assists with installing, replacing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems/equipment.
• Tests circuits to ensure integrity and safety.
• Participates/complies with company safety programs & company policies.
• Provides on-call support as required.
• Other duties as required.

Job Brief:
