Job summary

Garelick Farms, Dairy Farmers of America, is seeking a 2nd Shift Driver-Yard/Plant Non-CDL. The position runs 2:00 PM–11:00 PM, Sunday through Saturday, with every other weekend off. The role shuttles trailers, performs pre-trip checks, and ensures safe, compliant operations.

The pay is $24.25 per hour plus $1.50 shift differential, with a $1,500 sign-on bonus for external candidates. DFA offers competitive benefits and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Must meet minimum age requirements.
• Must meet DFA requirements for Motor Vehicle Records.
• Must meet all DOT requirements.

Responsibilities

• Operate a commercial motor vehicle in compliance with DOT and DFA rules and safety practices.
• Receive radio instructions and shuttle trailers to fit logistics needs.
• Perform daily maintenance checks on shuttle truck and report malfunctions.
• Document trailer moves and submit end-of-shift reports.
• Fuel yard truck and connect/disconnect tractor trailer units.
• Conduct safety inspections per DOT regulations.
• Complete required paperwork and maintain good relations with staff and customers.
