Job summary

Kendall Group is seeking an on-site Distribution Center Wire Associate for the Portage, MI facility. This 2nd shift role focuses on receiving, storing, and distributing products, with opportunities to assist in higher-skill tasks and training junior associates.

The position requires 1 year of warehouse and forklift experience, a High School Diploma or GED, and basic use of barcode/RF scanners. Safety and teamwork are emphasized in daily tasks and shift routines.

Qualifications

• 1 year of warehouse experience required.
• 1 year of forklift experience required.
• High School Diploma or GED is required.

Responsibilities

• Queue management in Company business system.
• Train owner associates on proper procedures.
• Operate wire cutting equipment using hand and foot controls.
• Use hydraulic machinery to assist in coiling and spooling wire cut orders.
• Perform defined Distribution Center activities: receipt, putaway, pick, pack, and ship.
• Receive inventory accurately and promptly; restock in designated areas.
• Truck loading/unloading per established procedures.
• Operate forklift, hand trucks or other equipment.
• Inventory cycle counting and reporting.
• Maintain safety and housekeeping; follow PPE requirements.
