Job summary

The Kendall Group is seeking a Distribution Center Associate for the 2nd shift in Portage, MI. This part-time, onsite role involves receiving, storing, and distributing products to support efficient warehouse operations.

You will perform pick, pack, inventory, forklift operation, and basic safety procedures while working with a supportive team in a company owned by employees; prior RF scanner experience is a plus. Compensation is hourly with opportunities for growth and lifelong learning.

Qualifications

• Entry level work experience acceptable.
• Proficient using standard office equipment and warehouse tools.
• Strong math and reasoning abilities.
• Good verbal and written communication.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Willingness to lift and move up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Perform defined Distribution Center activities: receipt, placement into inventory, selection for shipment, and shipment of stock.
• Pick orders accurately and promptly.
• Pack orders.
• Receive inventory accurately and promptly.
• Restock inventory in designated storage areas.
• Truck loading and unloading according to established procedures.
• Operate forklift, hand trucks or other equipment.
• Accurately identify and count inventory in assigned areas.
• Maintain quality and quantity performance and production standards.
• Participate in ongoing general housekeeping of Distribution Center.
• Check assigned equipment for proper operation and report problems to supervision.
• Follow safe work habits and established safety procedures.
• Attend meetings and training sessions.
• Other Distribution Center tasks as assigned.
