Job summary

The Kendall Group in Michigan is seeking a Distribution Center Wire Associate to support receiving, storing and distributing products, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in daily operations.

As part of the DC team, you will manage queue, train staff, operate forklift, count inventory, and participate in safety programs while upholding quality standards. This role requires a HS diploma, 1 year warehouse and 1 year forklift experience, plus good communication and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Qualifications

• 1 year of warehouse experience; 1 year of forklift experience.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Ability to use barcode scanner, printer, and standard warehouse tools; basic math and reasoning skills.
• Excellent work ethic, good verbal and communication skills; ability to work independently.
• Team-focused with ability to follow supervisor directions; identify products without barcodes.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for long periods; endure daily tasks.
• Ability to climb stairs, bend, crouch, kneel and operate equipment safely.

Responsibilities

• Queue management in Company business system
• Train owner associates on proper procedures
• Operate wire cutting equipment using hand and foot controls
• Use hydraulic machinery to coil/spool wire cut orders
• Pack and ship orders; pick orders accurately
• Receive inventory accurately and restock as designated
• Operate forklift and other equipment; assist in housekeeping
