Caliberr Staffing seeks a dedicated supervisor to manage daily functions of the Decatur machine shop and welding departments. Lead your team to meet production targets, ensure equipment reliability, and drive operational excellence while coordinating with production control.

Second shift, full-time, temp-to-hire in Decatur, AL, with weekly pay, health insurance, incentives, and opportunities for advancement. Strong English communication and welding know-how are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in machine tool or welding technology or equivalent mix of education and professional experience.
• At least three years of manufacturing supervisory experience.
• Strong verbal and written English communication.
• Expertise in welding techniques including MIG, TIG and GMAW.
• Proven leadership to build a cohesive, high-performing team.
• Ability to operate in a high-speed production environment; strong analytical skills.

Responsabilités

• Oversee daily staff activities to ensure productivity, quality, and safety.
• Supervise fabrication machinery operation (robotic welders, CNC mills, lathes, cranes, saws, sandblasters).
• Mentor staff, delegate tasks, and resolve conflicts to maintain team performance.
• Implement timely corrective actions per company guidelines and safety standards.
• Engage in talent lifecycle activities including recruiting and performance reviews.
• Analyze production metrics to identify and rectify inefficiencies; reduce downtime.
• Collaborate with maintenance to keep machinery in peak condition.
• Promote lean manufacturing principles and 5S methodologies; maintain records.
