Job summary

Komatsu Welder D, based in Milwaukee, WI, is responsible for manual and mechanized welding using FCAW, reading drawings, and ensuring weld quality. This role requires setup, material handling, and strict adherence to safety and welding procedures.

The position is on the 2nd shift, Monday–Friday, with a commitment to craftsmanship, precision, and continuous improvement. Experience with carbon/alloy steels and forklifts is preferred; a high school diploma or GED plus welding certification is

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Welding Certification required.
• Experience with Flux-Core Arc welding in flat, horizontal and vertical positions.
• Knowledge of carbon and alloy steels and welding consumables.

Responsibilities

• Perform manual and mechanized welding using FCAW in various positions.
• Read and interpret drawings and specifications to determine welding requirements.
• Set up and operate preheating equipment and material handling equipment.
• Position and secure weldments for welding.
• Execute single and multiple pass welds in all positions.
• Inspect welds and perform repairs as needed.
• Maintain a clean, safe work area and comply with PPE requirements.
• Conduct routine maintenance on welding equipment.
