Hyster-Yale Materials Handling (HYMH) in Berea, KY is hiring a Welder for the 2nd shift to assemble and weld lift truck components. You will set up, tack, weld, and draw parts while ensuring proper alignment and quality.

The role requires familiarity with welding techniques, blueprint reading, and safe operation of PPE. The position involves reading shop orders, following procedures, maintaining cleanliness, and adapting to production needs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Basic math skills required.
• Familiar with welding techniques and blueprint reading; some specialized training/test required.
• Physical ability to perform tasks; occasionally heavy lifting.
• Capable of setting up carriage/uprights and tolerances.
• Ability to read SOEs, shop orders, and prints; make decisions from documents.

Responsibilities

• Set up, tack, weld, and draw material on major components and sub-weldments.
• Position, fit, clamp, and align parts; adjust fixturing; grind, cut as needed.
• Weld with proper penetration and uniform bead; ensure adherence to specs.
• Maintain quality standards and safe work environment; follow PPE protocols.
• Support company policies including safety, housekeeping, and discipline.
• Manage time to maintain attendance and participate in training.
