Job summary

Pro Resources Staffing Services is hiring a 2nd Shift Welder / Fitter for a Columbia City, IN manufacturing company. This is a direct hire onto the client’s payroll. The shift runs Monday–Thursday, 4:00 PM – 2:30 AM with overtime likely on Fridays.

Welding with MIG/TIG/Stick, fitting and assembling parts, reading blueprints, measuring accurately and inspecting welds are essential. A weld test is required on-site; a High School Diploma or GED is preferred; dependable attendance is a must.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Welder / Fitter
• Ability to read tape measures and blueprints
• Must be able to pass an on-site weld test
• High School Diploma / GED preferred
• Dependable attendance and strong work ethic

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and fabrication specifications
• Fit and weld structural and metal components with precision
• Perform MIG, TIG, Stick, or other welding processes as needed
• Measure, align, tack, and assemble materials accurately
• Inspect finished welds for quality and consistency
• Work independently while meeting production goals
• Follow all safety procedures and PPE requirements
