Job summary

TOPS Staffing is hiring a Welder/Fitter/Fabricator for a manufacturing facility in a daylight shift. Pay starts at $23.18/hour with optional overtime on Saturdays.

The role involves welding and fabricating steel structures per blueprints, with a focus on MIG welding and basic Stick welding. Ideal candidates will have 1–3 years of welding/fabrication experience, ability to read blueprints, fit and lay out steel, and lift up to 75 lbs.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years welding/fabrication experience.
• Solid MIG welding experience; Stick welding experience.
• Ability to read and follow blueprints.
• Experience fitting and laying out steel.
• Comfortable using plasma cutters and cutting torches.
• Ability to read a tape measure accurately.
• Ability to lift ~75 lbs and maintain safety.
• Reliable attendance and strong work ethic.
• Positive, team-oriented attitude.
• Must provide basic hand tools; steel-toed boots required.

Responsibilities

• Layout, fit, and fabricate steel structures using blueprints and drawings.
• Work as part of fabrication crew.
• Perform MIG welding (~95%) and Stick welding (~5%).
• Weld joints and seams with .035 wire and Lincoln equipment.
• Work with 10-gauge plate, ¼" tube steel, steel angle, and limited stainless/galvanized metals.
• Use plasma cutters and oxy-fuel torches for cutting and prep.
• Measure and lay out materials with a tape measure.
• Inspect work for quality and proper fit.
• Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean workspace.

Welder / Fitter / Fabricator Pay: $23.18/hour to start Schedule: Monday-Friday, 6:00 AM-2:30 PM Optional Overtime: Saturday, 6:00 AM-11:00 AM

TOPS Staffing is hiring a Welder/Fitter/Fabricator for a manufacturing facility. This is a great opportunity for someone with welding and steel fabrication experience who enjoys working as part of a team and takes pride in producing quality work.

What You’ll Do

• Layout, fit, and fabricate steel structures using blueprints and drawings
• Work as part of fabrication crew
• Perform approximately 95% MIG welding and 5% Stick welding
• Weld steel joints and seams using .035 wire and Lincoln welding equipment
• Work with 10-gauge plate, ¼" tube steel, steel angle, and limited stainless and galvanized metals
• Use plasma cutters and oxy-fuel torches for cutting and preparation
• Measure and lay out materials accurately using a tape measure
• Inspect your work to ensure quality and proper fit
• Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work area

What We’re Looking For

• 1-3 years of welding/fabrication experience
