Job summary

Modern Disposal Services in Lewiston, NY, is seeking a welder/fabricator to perform repairs and maintenance on containers and company equipment. The role is second shift (3:00 - 11:30 PM) and involves welding steel/aluminum with MIG/ARC, fabricating components, cutting with plasma torch, and installing lids and wheels.

The ideal candidate has 3-5 years welding experience, forklift ability (training provided), and is at least 18 years old.

Qualifications

• Certified welder preferred.
• 3-5 years welding experience.
• Ability to operate a forklift, training can be provided.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Performs repairs and maintenance on containers and trucks.
• Weld steel and aluminum components using MIG and ARC welding Equipment.
• Fabricates steel components using a brake and shear.
• Cuts steel using a plasma cutter or torch.
• Fabricates steel components for hoppers, containers and compactors.
• Installs lids and wheels on containers.
• Follows all safety policies and procedures.
• Completes required paperwork.
• Maintains a clean, safe work area in compliance with Corporate/OSHA Standards, and preforms all work in accordance with established safety procedures.
