Modern Disposal Services, Inc. is seeking a Welder/Fabricator to perform repairs and fabrication on containers and related equipment in a second shift (3:00 - 11:30 PM) in Lewiston, NY. The role requires welding expertise, adherence to safety standards, and accurate recordkeeping of work performed.

Qualified candidates typically have 3-5 years of welding experience and a welding certification preference. Forklift operation capability is a plus and must be at least 18 years old.

Responsibilities

• Performs repairs and maintenance on containers and trucks.
• Weld steel and aluminum components using MIG and ARC welding Equipment.
• Fabricates steel components using a brake and shear.
• Cuts steel using a plasma cutter or torch.
• Fabricates steel components for hoppers, containers and compactors.
• Installs lids and wheels on containers.
• Follows all safety policies and procedures.
• Completes required paperwork.
• Maintains a clean, safe work area in compliance with Corporate/OSHA Standards, and preforms all work in accordance with established safety procedures.

Position Summary

The welder/fabricator is responsible for repairs and maintenance to containers and company owned property to meet customer and regulatory specifications. This position is expected to be second shift (3:00 - 11:30 PM).
