Job summary

Oldcastle Infrastructure is seeking a skilled welder/fabricator to perform a range of duties in an industrial manufacturing setting. You will weld and fabricate steel form parts using various cutting equipment, following shop prints and safety standards.

Requirements include steel fabrication experience, a high school diploma or equivalent, ability to read shop prints, and proficiency with Arc/MIG welding and oxy/fuel cutting. Lifting up to 40 lbs and use of industrial tools are required.

Qualifications

• Experience in steel fabrication, at least 1 year preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to perform basic math and read fractions with a tape measure.
• Ability to read shop prints and use hand/power tools safely.
• Capable of Arc & MIG welding (horizontal/vertical) and pass certification.
• Capable of oxy/fuel cutting of steel and lifting up to 40 lbs.

Responsibilities

Job Summary

Performs a wide range of duties in an industrial manufacturing environment. Uses shop prints to weld and fabricate in a safe and efficient manner.

Job Responsibilities

• Fabrication of steel form parts using various cutting equipment and welding part together per specifications
• Other duties may be assigned as needed

Job Requirements

• Must have experience in steel fabrication, at least 1 year is preferred
• High school diploma / equivalent
• Ability to perform basic math
• Ability to read fractions and a tape measure
• Ability to read shop prints
• Understanding of basic hand and power tools and their use
• Capable of Arc & MIG welding both horizontal and vertical, with ability to pass certification
• Capable of using oxy/fuel torch to cut steel
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
• Experience using industrial steel tooling such as vertical band saw, drill press, grinders, etc.
• Prior use of plasma cutter
• Prior use of fork trucks and rolling equipment
• Prior use of overhead bridge cranes
• Maintenance experience
