Job summary

Precision Castparts Corp. seeks a meticulous Wax Injector for our 2nd shift in the Mentor/Painesville area. You will produce high-quality wax patterns for investment casting while ensuring safety, quality, and production goals are met.

The ideal candidate has manufacturing experience, mechanical aptitude, and a focus on teamwork and accuracy in a fast-paced setting. Prior wax injection or foundry exposure is a plus, with a strong emphasis on process control and equipment upkeep.

Qualifications

• High school diploma preferred or equivalent experience.
• 1+ year manufacturing or production experience preferred.
• Background in investment casting, foundry, or wax injection is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Inject wax patterns, gates, and sprues using dies.
• Operate wax injection presses and related equipment safely.
• Maintain wax levels in presses and melting pots for continuous production.
• Inspect patterns, gating systems, and sprues for quality compliance.
• Clean plugs and perform routine wax preparation tasks.
• Assist engineering and maintenance teams to maintain equipment performance.
• Conduct basic press inspections (seals, filters, oil, components).
• Support press calibration activities and engineering validation efforts.
• Run engineering trials involving wax parameters and process improvements.
• Follow SOPs and engineering procedures consistently.
• Keep work areas organized, maximize efficiency, and maintain safety.
• Maintain accurate production and inspection records.
