Job summary

Amentum is seeking a Warehouse Specialist for the 2nd shift (2:00 pm–10:30 pm) on a not-to-exceed basis through 30 June 2027. The role focuses on warehousing tasks per the storage plan and excludes pure shipping/receiving, order filling, or forklift-only duties.

You will inventory, move, and prepare materials for shipment, operate hand or power trucks, verify items against documents, and maintain safe practices.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Six to twelve months job related experience and/or training is required.
• Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license and be able to operate a government general-purpose vehicle.
• Ability to perform work in a safe manner to prevent loss or damage of equipment.
• Customer-oriented with ability to courteously and effectively work through difficult situations.
• Position may require the ability to obtain and maintain a Security Clearance.

Responsibilities

• Perform warehousing duties per storage plan.
• Rearrange and inventory stored materials; report deterioration and damage.
• Remove material from storage and prepare it for shipment.
• May operate hand or power trucks in performing warehousing duties.
• Verify materials against receiving documents, notes and reports discrepancies; route materials to prescribed storage locations; stores, stacks or palletizes material in accordance with prescribed storage methods.
• Perform all other position related duties as assigned or requested.
