Job summary

Penske Logistics is seeking warehouse associates to join a safety-minded, energetic team in a fast-paced warehouse environment.

We offer a competitive wage with benefits and opportunities for growth. The schedule is Sunday–Wednesday, 3pm–Finish, with a $18 base pay plus a $1 shift differential. All associates must complete a Penske employment application, background check and drug screening.

Qualifications

• No prior warehouse experience required but preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Proficient reading skills and ability to follow directions required.
• Ability to work independently, customer service, dealing with others, multi-tasking skills, organizational skills, flexible, excellent with numbers and time management skills required.
• Flexible to work overtime preferred.
• Ability to work in non-climate-controlled conditions required.
• Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job.
• Must be able to operate forklift.
• Willingness to work the required schedule, work at the specific location required.

Responsibilities

• Proficient in mopping, sweeping, scrubbing, and vacuuming surfaces.
• Empties trash bins and cleans trash area daily; operates trash compactor when applicable.
• Pulls pallets and clean/scrubs product bays on a rotating basis.
• Cleans up spills or breakages to the inventoried product; recoup damages and determine if resalable or must be disposed of per food safety standards and requirements.
• Clean other areas of the warehouse and offices, including break rooms, restrooms, offices, etc.
• Complete daily sanitation logs.
• Utilize chemicals, detergents, and cleaning equipment.
• Operate scrubber and pallet jacks if required to perform duties.
• Able to identify and address cleanliness and sanitation issues.
• Complies with all safety requirements.
• Escalate issues timely and directly to supervisor.
• Electronically scan products using a warehouse management system.
• Operate forklifts or pallet jacks to transport stored items from warehouse to plant or to pick up items from several locations for shipment.
• Other projects and tasks as assigned by supervisor
