Job summary

Pet Food Experts is seeking an Operations Supervisor to plan, organize, and monitor warehouse storage, selection, and distribution for customers, while leading teams to meet goals. The role requires 3–5 years in warehousing with 2 years supervising, forklift and related equipment certification, and strong safety and process discipline.

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 1:00pm start; compensation $70,000–$80,000 per year with a 7.5% annual bonus target.

Qualifications

• Experience in a retail distribution setting preferred.
• Ability to read, write and understand English, including identifying numbers.
• Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
• Knowledge of warehouse operations, preferably all aspects of loading dock operation in a distribution environment.
• Certified to operate warehousing equipment including forklift, reach truck, and electric ride on jack.
• Knowledge of occupational hazards and safety precautions.
• Strong attention to detail and good time-management with the ability to multi-task and follow up.
• Work both independently with minimal supervision and collaboratively in a team environment.
• 3 to 5 years of experience in warehousing, receiving, inventory control or shipping in a distribution environment, with 2 years of direct supervisory experience.

Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate warehouse activities to ensure smooth, safe, and efficient operations.
• Supervise and train a warehouse team, monitoring performance and morale.
• Ensure accuracy in loading/unloading and order fulfillment to meet delivery requirements.
• Develop staffing plans and participate in recruitment, hiring, and disciplinary processes.
• Identify process improvements and drive safety compliance.
