Job summary

Michaels Department Manager - DC in New Lenox, IL leads and supports a team to meet safety, accuracy, production, and inventory objectives within the distribution center. You provide direction and timely information to the team and leadership to ensure operational success.

Responsibilities include hiring, onboarding, coaching, and developing direct reports; ensuring SOPs are followed; collaborating with Loss Prevention and leadership; and balancing on-floor presence with office time while

Qualifications

• Minimum supervisory experience in a comparable environment.
• Strong leadership and organizational skills.
• Proficiency with warehouse management systems (WMS).
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including all days and shifts.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop assigned team to meet safety, accuracy, production, and inventory goals.
• Ensure adherence to SOPs and regulatory requirements.
• Identify and resolve production or communication issues quickly.
• Collaborate with Loss Prevention and leadership for safety and security.
• Plan and optimize labor management and scheduling.
