Job summary

Weee! is seeking an experienced Assistant Operations Manager for 2nd shift outbound warehouse operations at the Hodgkins, IL fulfillment center.

You will lead Dry and Fresh/Frozen throughput, coach frontline teams, and ensure safety and efficiency in a high-volume environment. You will report to the Senior Operations Manager and drive performance against metrics while maintaining compliance with applicable laws and internal policies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of experience in warehouse/fulfillment operations.
• 2+ years of experience in a supervisory or management role.
• Warehouse Management System (WMS) experience, including KPI/productivity tracking
• Proficient computer skills, including Excel and reporting tools
• Able to work 2nd shift consistently

Responsibilities

• Own 2nd shift Outbound execution end-to-end, with primary focus on Dry and Fresh/Frozen operations, driving throughput against daily targets
• Maintain outbound distribution operations by initiating, coordinating, and enforcing program, operational, and personnel policies and procedures
• Evaluate performance metrics to ensure quality delivery and cost-efficient work-flow processes
• Managing frontline teams in a high-volume, fast-paced fulfillment environment and comfortable coaching the team
• Comply with federal, state, and local warehousing, material handling, and shipping requirements by understanding and studying existing and new legislation; enforcing adherence to requirements; advising management on needed actions
• Safeguard warehouse operations and contents by establishing and monitoring security procedures and protocols
• Maintains physical condition of warehouse by planning and implementing new design layouts; inspecting equipment; issuing work orders for repair and requisitions for replacement
• Achieve financial objectives by preparing an annual budget; scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; initiating corrective actions
• Complete warehouse operational requirements by scheduling and assigning employees; following up on work results
• Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
