Job summary

MSC Industrial Supply Co. is hiring a Material Handler for 2nd shift in Hanover Park, IL. You will move materials, prep orders, and support shipments on the distribution floor, operating a cherry picker/order platform picker and RF scanner.

The role requires a High School diploma or equivalent, ability to read/write English, lift up to 50 pounds, and forklift license readiness. Compensation starts at $20.00/hour, dependent on location and experience.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Must be able to read and write in English.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 US pounds.
• Proficient in using RF scanner.

Responsibilities

• Retrieve empty pallets, boxes, totes, and trash as needed in department.
• Sort and locate material from floor to surplus location.
• Retrieve and count product to fulfill customer orders.
• Retrieve and count product to fulfill inter warehouse transfers.
• Wrap and weight pallets using stretch wrapper.
• Scan orders using RF equipment to pallet license plates.
• Operate power industrial lift equipment and maintain assigned equipment.
• Actively participate in general housekeeping activities.
