Job summary

Reliance, Inc. in Schaumburg, IL is seeking a Warehouse Material Handler (2nd Shift) to pull, fill, and cut orders, manage inventory, and handle shipping tasks in a metals distribution environment.

You will read job orders, verify materials, operate heavy equipment, and maintain a safe, organized warehouse. Schedule: Mon-Fri 2:00pm-9:45pm. Benefits include comprehensive medical, life, disability, 401(k), pension, and more.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Valid Driver's License preferred.
• Experience in warehousing or material handling is preferred.
• Ability to obtain certification to operate motorized material handling and rigging equipment.

Responsibilities

• Move inventory or equipment, fill customer orders, pull material from racks, unload incoming material, load trucks and customer vehicles, and maintain the warehouse.
• Receive and return items into stock locations.
• Read and decipher work orders; verify heat numbers and material specifications.
• Operate cranes, forklifts, side loaders, yard trucks, saws, and other heavy equipment as required.
• Place materials into storage or remove them for order fulfillment.
• Tag material for identification and complete documentation.
• Sort and place materials by size, type, or product code.
• Coordinate with team to ensure efficient and safe machine and equipment operations.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
• Perform spot checks on inventory and restock materials as needed.
• Drive company vehicle for local deliveries and parts pick-up (non-DOT).
