Job summary

Rugby Architectural Building Products is seeking a Warehouse Associate (Loader) at River City Millwork in Rockford, IL for the 2nd Shift. This hands-on position involves loading, unloading, staging, and moving building materials, with sit-down forklift operation as a key component.

Qualifications

• Warehouse, material handling, shipping, receiving, manufacturing, or distribution experience preferred.
• Sit-down forklift experience is preferred; certification is a plus.
• Ability to perform physical work throughout the entire shift.
• Comfortable repeatedly lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling materials.
• Ability to routinely lift up to 50 pounds independently and move heavier materials with a teammate or equipment assistance.
• Ability to safely handle large, heavy, and awkward-shaped building products.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
• Dependable, self-motivated, and team-oriented.
• Positive attitude and strong work ethic.

Responsibilities

• Load trucks accurately and safely for customer deliveries.
• Manually move, stage, and load building materials throughout the warehouse.
• Pick and prepare customer orders for shipment.
• Operate a sit-down forklift to transport heavy and oversized products.
• Receive, unload, and store incoming materials.
• Verify products and quantities against customer orders.
• Safely handle long, bulky, and awkward-shaped materials.
• Maintain an organized and safe work area.
• Attend safety meetings and follow all company safety procedures.
• Perform other warehouse duties as assigned.
