River City Millwork, a division of Rugby Architectural Building Products, is hiring for a 2nd Shift Warehouse Associate Loader in Rockford, IL. The role involves manual material handling, loading and unloading, and occasional forklift operation in a fast-paced warehouse.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Load trucks accurately and safely for customer deliveries.

• Operate a sit-down forklift to transport heavy and oversized products.
• Receive, unload and store incoming materials.
• Verify products and quantities against customer orders.

The OpportunityWere growing and looking for a hardworking Warehouse Associate Loader to join our 2nd Shift team This is a physically active hands on warehouse role While forklift operation is an important part of the job a significant portion of your day will involve manually loading unloading moving and staging building materials Our products are often large heavy and awkwardly shaped so this position is ideal for someone who enjoys physical work and takes pride in working safely If youre the type of person who likes to stay moving throughout your shift and be part of a team that gets the job done wed love to hear from you

What Youll Do

• Load trucks accurately and safely for customer deliveries
• Manually move stage and load building materials throughout the warehouse
• Pick and prepare customer orders for shipment
• Operate a sit down forklift to transport heavy and oversized products
• Receive unload and store incoming materials
• Verify products and quantities against customer orders
• Safely handle long bulky and awkward shaped materials
• Maintain an organized and safe work area
• Attend safety meetings and follow all company safety procedures
• Perform other warehouse duties as assigned

Important This Is a Hands On PositionThis is not a forklift only role Successful team members spend a large portion of their shift manually handling building materials in addition to operating a forklift The work is fast paced and physical requiring strength stamina and a commitment to working safely

What Were Looking For

• Warehouse material handling shipping receiving manufacturing or distribution experience preferred
• Sit down forklift experience is preferred; certification is a plus
• Ability to perform physical work throughout the entire shift
• Comfortable repeatedly lifting carrying pushing and pulling materials
• Ability to routinely lift up to 50 pounds independently and move heavier materials with a teammate or equipment assistance
• Ability to safely handle large heavy and awkwardly shaped building products
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
• Dependable self motivated and team oriented
• Positive attitude and strong work ethic
