Job summary

Kirby Risk's Indianapolis Distribution Center seeks a hands-on Warehouse Supervisor for the 2nd shift to lead the team, organize daily operations, and coach staff.

You will schedule shifts, provide training, oversee safety and quality, handle hiring, and partner with other departments to meet customer expectations while delivering outstanding service. Opportunities for development are available to advance your career within Kirby Risk.

Qualifications

• College coursework and/or 3+ years of supervisory or team leader experience (warehouse, quality, customer service, etc.)
• Experience leading teams of 15+ employees
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to set priorities and meet deadlines
• Excellent communication skills—written, verbal, and interpersonal
• Understanding of business operations and warehouse processes
• Keen attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks at once
• Proficiency with computers; Microsoft Office experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Lead and support the 2nd Shift team to achieve operational goals while creating a positive and productive work environment
• Create employee schedules and maintain appropriate staffing levels to support daily operations
• Provide training, mentoring, performance feedback, and employee development opportunities
• Build trust within the team through open communication and consistent leadership
• Identify operational challenges and implement process improvements that increase efficiency and accuracy
• Handle hiring, performance management, documentation, and terminations as needed
• Cross-train employees to build a flexible workforce
• Partner with leadership and other departments to meet operational goals and customer expectations
• Help ensure the team works safely while meeting quality and productivity expectations
• Build positive working relationships across teams while promoting excellent customer service
