Job summary

Propelis is seeking a Union Pressman in Cincinnati for a two-year apprenticeship program. The role operates on 2nd shift after a training period on 1st shift, with pay progression as you advance.

The apprenticeship includes six-month reviews and raises toward the final wage, with a shift differential for 2nd shift. As part of Propelis, you’ll join a global network of marketing services and technology companies.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
• Mechanical aptitude: basic skill with hand tools and comfort around heavy machinery.
• Physical stamina: stand for long shifts and lift heavy items.
• Attention to detail: good color perception and alignment awareness.

Responsibilities

• Assist with set-up: mount printing plates, blankets, or cylinders and adjust press tolerances.
• Manage materials: load sheets, obtain, mix, or fill ink fountains.
• Monitor quality: pull proofs, check ink coverage and alignment, inspect runs for defects.
• Perform maintenance: clean ink fountains, plates, cylinders; lubricate machinery.
• Learn operations: study workstation controls and safety rules to advance toward full press operator role.
