HandyTube Corporation is hiring for a 2nd Shift Machine Operator to convert steel coils into target tubing lengths and diameters. Operators must follow safe operating procedures, read job orders, and ensure product quality while maintaining lean manufacturing practices.

The position reports to a Shift Supervisor and offers full-time employment with benefits, including health insurance and retirement options. Candidates should be able to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 pounds.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Manufacturing experience preferred (tubed products).
• Ability to interpret safety instructions, job orders, quality specifications, and other documents.

Responsibilities

• Set up machine, observe operation, and inspect first run to ensure conformity to specifications.
• Read job orders and product specifications for quality and size.
• Select and adjust equipment to meet production requirements (speeds and feeds).
• Perform routine lubrication and preventative maintenance as required.
• Maintain a neat, organized work area and support lean manufacturing goals.
