Job summary

Hospital Central Services Cooperative, Inc. is seeking a 2nd shift Truck Loader II for our Allentown, PA facility. The role supports laundry operations by preparing linen orders for delivery and ensuring accurate loading and staging of carts and trucks.

The position offers benefits including medical/dental, 401(k), life insurance, and paid time off after one year of service. Qualified candidates will have a high school diploma or GED and prior warehouse or logistics experience.

Qualifications

• Verbal communication skills required to maintain accurate records and coordinate with drivers and supervisors.
• Strong time management skills to operate in a fast-paced distribution environment.
• Previous warehouse or distribution, shipping and receiving experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and organize linen orders for delivery, ensuring accuracy.
• Inspect linen carts and stage carts for loading.
• Load and unload trucks and trailers safely.
• Record and maintain documentation of truck movements.
• Perform daily yard checks and monitor equipment location and condition.
• Maintain up-to-date soil board to support distribution operations.
• Communicate equipment needs and operational issues to Distribution supervisor.
• Move and position trucks and trailers as needed and pass onsite driving skills assessment.
• Receive and store supplies in designated areas.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

What you will be doing:

• Prepare and organize linen orders for delivery, ensuring accuracy and readiness for
• Inspect linen carts for proper working condition and stage carts for
• Load and unload trucks and trailers safely and
• Record and maintain accurate documentation of truck and trailer
• Perform daily yard checks to verify equipment location, condition, and
• Maintain an accurate and up-to-date soil board to support distribution and operational
• Communicate equipment needs, maintenance concerns, and operational issues to the Distribution
• Move and position trucks and trailers as needed; successfully pass the required onsite driving skills
• Receive, organize, and put away supplies in designated
• Perform other related duties as assigned by

What you will bring to the role:

• High school diploma or GED required and previous experience in a warehouse, distribution, shipping and receiving, or logistics operations is preferred.
• Prior experience jockeying tractor-trailers and straight trucks preferred; CDL not required.
• Must be able to successfully complete an onsite driving skills assessment to operate and reposition trucks and trailers

• Excellent communication (verbal) skills and the ability to maintain accurate records, complete yard checks, and track equipment.

• Strong time management skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Additional information:

This position reports to the 2nd shift Distribution Supervisor is based out of our Allentown, PA location. They will be responsible for working the following schedule:

Monday-Friday 3:30pm-midnight (2nd shift) with occasional weekends.

Ability to work OT up to two hours till 2am is required
