Job summary

Old Dominion Freight Line, Inc. seeks a dedicated maintenance technician to repair and diagnose company equipment, including trucks and trailers, in a safe and cost-effective manner.

You will read precision instruments and perform electronic diagnostics, troubleshoot failures, and use welding where needed. The role requires attention to DOT/EPA/ICC/OSHA rules and willingness to participate in training and schedule changes.

Qualifications

• High School degree or equivalent.
• Experience as a maintenance technician or equivalent.
• Experience with truck repair and body/frame repair.
• Must provide own tools to perform job duties.
• Ability to complete required paperwork and records.
• Must possess a valid CDL when required.
• Ability to read and interpret instruments and paperwork.
• Willingness to participate in training and shift changes.

Responsibilities

• Repair, build, and repair all parts of company equipment as needed.
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, or other breakdowns on trucks and related equipment.
• Read precision instruments and perform electronic diagnostics.
• Troubleshoot and perform failure analysis on truck/trailer systems.
• When applicable, use welding to complete repairs.
• Attend training classes and adapt to shifts as required.
• Comply with DOT, EPA, ICC, and OSHA regulations.
