Job summary

PPG Industries in Oak Creek, WI is hiring a Batch Processor - Packaging Tier II for the 3rd shift (10:30 PM to 7:00 AM). The role focuses on setting up, operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting production equipment to meet daily manufacturing goals.

You will work beside a team to ensure equipment is safe, functional, and well-maintained, assist junior operators, and help drive efficiency and quality across packaging processes at PPG.

Qualifications

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds on a consistent basis.
• Experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment preferred.
• Ability to work overtime as needed.
• Must be clean shaven to wear proper PPE.

Responsibilities

• Set up the production equipment and supplies before executing the job orders.
• Operate equipment safely and effectively for production processing.
• Ensure that equipment is maintained in good and safe working condition.
• Inspect equipment to identify replacements, malfunctions and repairs.
• Perform regular equipment maintenance to ensure production capacity and quality.
• Provide assistance to junior operators in their assigned responsibilities.
• Repair and clean the equipment when needed.
• Evaluate equipment performance and recommend improvements.
• Operate trucks and other industrial vehicles to transfer the production equipment between warehouse and working area.
