Job summary

Eaton’s IS AER FMC division seeks a Tester II for 2nd shift in Irvine, CA. On-site role offering 2:00 pm–10:30 pm hours, with a $25.00 hourly rate plus $1.00 shift differential and eligibility for a variable incentive program.

Responsibilities include bench testing, wiring products to test equipment, recording results, and applying lean improvements. Must have a high school diploma and 3+ years in fuel/hydraulic/pneumatic testing.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or GED from an accredited institution.
• Minimum of three (3) years’ work experience in Fuel, Hydraulic or Pneumatic Testing is required
• No relocation benefit is offered for this position. Only candidates residing within the immediate area of Irvine, CA (50 miles) will be considered for this position. Active Duty military are exempt from the geographical requirement
• This position requires access to export-controlled information. To conform to U.S. Government export regulations applicable to that information, applicant must be a U.S. person, defined as a (i) U.S. citizen or national, (ii) U.S. lawful, permanent resident (green card holder), (iii) refugee under 8 U.S.C. 1157, or (iv) asylee under 8 U.S.C. 1158

Responsibilities

• Perform bench testing of a diversified line of parts, subassemblies and completed units following established procedures.
• Perform bench work requiring use of simple limit direct reading gauges and meters
• Build / fabricate own setup operations on less complicated test systems
• Connect products to be tested to test equipment, monitor gauges and meters, verify and record results
• Comply with all safety requirements, including proper use of personal protective equipment and operation of equipment in a safe and competent manner
• Keep assigned work-area clean, organized, and orderly per 5S standards
• Perform Lean Initiatives including Continuous Improvement
• Lead and interpret blueprints & schematics
