Job summary

Eaton's IS Aer FMC division seeks a Tester II for 2nd shift in Irvine, CA. The role performs bench testing of a diversified line of parts and subassemblies, following established procedures.

You will build test setups, connect equipment, monitor gauges, and record results, while maintaining safety and 5S standards. Base hourly rate is $25.00 with a $1.00 shift differential, plus eligibility for a variable incentive program and comprehensive benefits from day 1, including PTO, 401(k) with company

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in Fuel, Hydraulic or Pneumatic Testing.
  • Able to read blueprints and schematics; able to lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

  • Bench test a diversified line of parts, subassemblies, and units following established procedures.
  • Build/setup test systems; connect products to test equipment, monitor gauges and record results.
  • Maintain 5S standards and participate in Lean initiatives; follow safety requirements.

Eaton’s IS AER FMC division is currently seeking a Tester II - 2nd Shift. The hourly rate for this position is $25.00 + $1.00 shift differential per hour. The hours for this shift are 2:00 pm - 10:30 pm.This position is also eligible for a variable incentive program. To see our full benefits, check out: Eaton BenefitsSalaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.What you’ll do:The Tester is responsible for performing bench testing of a diversified line of parts, subassemblies and completed units following established procedures.Perform bench work requiring use of simple limit direct reading gauges and metersBuild / fabricate own setup operations on less complicated test systemsConnect products to be tested to test equipment, monitor gauges and meters, verify and record resultsComply with all safety requirements, including proper use of personal protective equipment and operation of equipment in a safe and competent manner. Understand and meet all departmental safety objectives and goals.Keep assigned work-area clean, organized, and orderly per 5S standards.Perform Lean Initiatives including Continuous ImprovementLead and interpret blueprints & schematicsQualifications:Required Qualifications:Must have a high school diploma or GED from an accredited institution.Minimum of three (3) years’ work experience in Fuel, Hydraulic or Pneumatic Testing is requiredNo relocation benefit is offered for this position. Only candidates residing within the immediate area of Irvine, CA (50 miles) will be considered for this position.
