Job Summary

We are seeking a 2nd Shift Test Technician to support our advanced defense systems manufacturing operations. In this role, you will be responsible for executing test procedures, troubleshooting electronic and mechanical systems, and ensuring all products meet rigorous quality and performance standards. Working under limited supervision, you will operate specialized test equipment, interpret technical documentation, and collaborate with engineering and production teams to support continuous improvement and mission-critical delivery schedules. This position requires adherence to strict safety, security, and quality protocols typical of a defense contractor environment. The hours for this role are 3:30pm to 1:00am.

Job Responsibilities
  • Interpret and work from complex wiring diagrams, assembly drawings, procedures, and engineering specifications.
  • Adhere strictly to SOPs, safety protocols, and regulatory requirements (state, federal, and certification-related).
  • Ensure product quality and meet production deadlines with minimal failure rates.
  • Diagnose and perform preventive and corrective maintenance on electrical, optical, and mechanical systems.
  • Maintain, repair, and certify test equipment, ensuring accurate documentation and compliance.
  • Conduct standard testing and troubleshooting using industry-specific tools, including alignment and failure analysis.
  • Generate and maintain test data in both digital and paper formats for review.
  • Handle both small, ESD-sensitive components and large systems with precision.
  • Demonstrate readiness for and compliance with quality audits.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma required
  • Proven ability to make sound, independent decisions in a dynamic work environment
  • Self-motivated with the capability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Demonstrated flexibility in managing diverse projects and operations, with the ability to adapt quickly to shifting priorities and dynamic environments.
  • Proficient in the use of various computer applications, including Microsoft Office Suite
  • Familiarity with MRP (Material Requirements Planning) systems is a plus
  • Hands-on experience with energized test equipment and tools such as multimeters, oscilloscopes and power supplies (Low and High Voltage AC/DC).
  • Able to lift and move at least 25 lbs.

U.S. Citizenship required. This position requires an active DOD security clearance or the ability to obtain such clearance within a reasonable time after commencement of employment.
