Job summary

AFL manufactures industry-leading fiber optic cable, connectivity and accessories for telecom customers. The Team Lead will organize daily activities of associates, monitor resources, and help coach staff to meet AFL specifications and quality goals.

The role emphasizes training, problem solving, and adherence to safety policies, with expectations to drive teamwork and continuous improvement across shifts.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2+ years of manufacturing experience
• Understanding of manufacturing safety standards
• Practical understanding of EHS and quality systems
• Proficient with Microsoft Office tools (Outlook/Access/Word/Excel)

Responsibilities

• Assess daily production schedules and plan to ensure uninterrupted flow and on-time delivery
• Coordinate day-to-day activities of team members
• Provide support, training, and troubleshooting for effective teamwork
• Develop and communicate standardized work procedures to affected areas
• Lead training initiatives and assist in addressing issues
• Troubleshoot disruptions to maintain product flow
• Review nonconforming reports and publish KPI metrics
• Adhere to AFL environmental, health & safety policies
